About me
Jocelyn Dixon currently serve as the Director of Financial Aid at North Georgia Technical College (NGTC). Her financial aid experience measures over 9 years (8 in the Technical College System of Georgia and 1 year in the University System of Georgia). Her prior roles include Financial Aid Technician/Counselor, Financial Aid Specialist, and Assistant Director of Financial Aid. She has passed all 17 NASFAA's financial aid credentials which includes Gainful Employment prior to NASFAA's removal, and passed NASFAA's FAAC credential test in July 2021. She was one of the first of obtaining the FAAC as a TCSG FA representative and joined NASFAA's FAAC 100+ club in February 2024.
Her financial aid expertise ranges with a variety of topics like: dataload, verification, R2T4, work-study, veterans educational benefits, Student Access Loan, Dual Enrollment processing, state financial aid programs, SAP, TEACH Grant, etc. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management from Georgia Military College and currently serves as 2024-25 GASFAA Program Chair. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, crafting, traveling with her husband, puzzling (jigsaw and 3D wooden puzzles), video/board games, and houseplants! 🪴🧩🪴🧁🪴🎮
