2025 SASFAA Annual Conference

Zachary Christian, FAAC(R) is the immediate past-president of the South Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SCASFAA) and Deputy Director of the SC Higher Education Tuition Grants Commission.  Zachary has worked in student financial aid since 2014, previously working as a financial aid counselor at his Alma Mater, Winthrop University, prior to joining the Commission staff in late 2016.  Outside of financial aid, Zachary is an adjunct instructor at Midlands Technical College, where he teaches several courses on SQL, Microsoft Access, and Database Design fundamentals.  Zachary and his husband, Joseph, just celebrated 10 years of marriage this past October, and have three spoiled furbabies: their dogs, Hashbrown & Abby, and their grumpy cat, Wayne.
