About me
Jacquelyn “Jackie” Copeland is the Associate Provost and Director of Scholarships and Student Aid at her alma mater, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication from Carolina and a Master of Science in Leadership from Pfeiffer University.
Jackie has more than twenty years of experience in financial aid at Carolina, starting as a work-study student and holding various roles including interim director before earning the permanent role in 2022. At Carolina, she is especially proud to provide leadership to the Carolina Covenant Scholars program which offers a debt-free path to graduation for low-income students, the Kessler Scholars program assisting rural, first-generation students, and the Blue Sky Scholars program for middle-income students.
She serves on the NASFAA Rapid Response Network, is a member of the NASFAA Executive Leadership Collective, the COSUAA Steering Committee, and served on the NASFAA Advancing the Profession taskforce and the SASFAA 2022-23 webinar committee.
