About me
April Tretter is the Director of Financial Aid at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. April joined Bellarmine University in 2014 as the Associate Director and became director in 2019. Prior to working at Bellarmine, she was Director of Financial Aid at ATA College/ATA Career Education. She was previously a Regional Marketing Representative for Nelnet. She was Associate Director of Financial at Bluegrass Community and Technical College and a counselor at Eastern Kentucky University. April started her career as a Federal Work-Study student in the Office of Financial Aid at EKU.
April holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master's of Arts in Higher Education from Eastern Kentucky University. She has earned the Certified Financial Aid Administrator designation (FAAC) and holds seventeen NASFAA credentials . April is actively involved in the financial aid profession. She has served in various roles in the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA) and the Kentucky Association of Student Financial Aid (KASFAA) including the President of KASFAA.
